Why we ask for a photo first
With small insects, the wrong treatment can waste your money and time without any result. An insect breeding in the damp of a drain won’t be affected by bait made for an insect that eats kitchen food. An insect living in cracks needs a product that reaches the cracks, not a spray into the air. If we start without knowing what we’re treating, we are guessing at your expense. A photo also means we can often tell you the same day whether you need a visit at all.
The photo doesn’t need to be professional. Use your phone in good light, get as close as you can, and put something of known size next to the insect, like a coin. If it flies, photograph it while it’s resting on a light-coloured wall. If you can put a dead one in a clear plastic bag, keep it for the technician to see at the inspection.
How we handle each case
Once we see the photo, we give you an idea of what the insect is and whether a visit is needed at all. Sometimes the answer is clearing a drain, throwing out old food or fixing a leak, and if that’s the case we’ll say so honestly.
If a visit is needed, the technician inspects the kitchen, bathroom, corners of the flat, cracks and balcony, and works out where the insects gather and where they are coming from. Fash in the kitchen and fash in a bedroom can turn out to be two different insects, so the technician checks each place rather than assuming. We agree the price with you before starting.
The treatment depends on the type: gel or bait in specific spots, a residual product in cracks and joints, or treating the source itself, such as drains and damp areas. Our products are Ministry of Health approved and mostly low-odour. German Egypt Control is licensed by the Ministry of Health and Population, licence no. 32.
Before you spray anything yourself
If you plan to use a supermarket spray before calling us, photograph the insect first. Random spraying sometimes pushes insects into another room or deeper into hiding, which makes their source harder to reach. If you’ve already sprayed, tell the technician what you used and where, because it affects which product and which areas we choose.
And don’t mix cleaning products or pesticides in the bathroom or kitchen to speed things up. It won’t kill the insects any faster, and it can release fumes that bother you and your family.
When to call us
If you see the insects every day, if their numbers are growing, or if you find them in food or in the bedrooms, don’t wait. Most small insects multiply quickly wherever there’s food and damp, and the earlier you start, the easier the treatment.
Send the photo on WhatsApp (01022888444) along with your area and where in the home the insects appear. If they’re showing up in more than one flat in the same building, tell us, because the source is sometimes in the shared drains or the light well. Anywhere in Egypt, we can arrange a visit the same day.
After the treatment: what to do
- Don't wipe treated areas with water or cleaning products for a few days, unless the technician tells you otherwise.
- Reduce damp in the bathroom and kitchen, and fix any leak quickly.
- Keep food in closed containers, and keep the rubbish covered and taken out every day.
- If the insects come back, take a photo and send it to us right away, before their numbers grow.
The price is set after the inspection
The price of fash insect control is set once we know exactly which insect it is, along with the size of the property, the number of affected areas and whether a follow-up visit is needed. A photo on WhatsApp lets us give you an idea of the price faster. We confirm the exact price before we start, and the inspection comes with no obligation.
After treatment you receive a guarantee certificate stating the period and the service, and if the problem returns within that period we come back at no extra cost.
